“This class has it all - baby sensory, baby massage, songs, yoga, games, storytelling - and even a few moments for me woven in along the way, including a child-friendly sound bath at the end of every class (bliss!). We both loved it!”

Why focus on Emotional Intelligence?

Lead by Science

Children who have strong Emotional Intelligence:

  • Perform better academically, with higher levels of motivation, engagement, and focus. EQ is a predictor of long-term success and children who develop skills early in life are more likely to achieve personal and professional goals.

    (Brackett & Salovey, 2006; Salovey et al., 2009, Bradberry & Greaves, 2009).

  • Experience greater happiness, fulfilment, and well-being across various areas of life. EQ is negatively linked with symptoms of anxiety and depression.

(Brackett & Salovey, 2006; Lopes et al., 2003, Salovey et al., 2009).

  • Develop strategies to avoid bullying and manage conflicts peacefully, have increased resilience to stress in the face of adversity, healthier social relationships, healthier use of social media, and develop skills which create adaptability to AI and automation in the future.

    (Goleman, 1995; Brackett & Salovey, 2006, Bradberry & Greaves, 2009; Brackett & Salovey, 2006).

A FOCUS ON PARENTS TOO

We secretly weave wellbeing elements for parents into our classes alongside the fun too - expect aromatherapy, gentle stretching, face-masks and a crystal sound bath at the end of every class (which your little one will also love)! We hold our classes in yoga studios for a different atmosphere to usual baby classes too.

It’s normal if:

  • You're unsure how to foster emotional intelligence in your child.

  • You've struggled to find engaging activities for your little one.

  • You feel overwhelmed with balancing parenthood and self-care.

  • You're unsure which parenting strategies to follow.

  • You're skeptical about baby classes.

We don’t believe:

  • That parenting is just about meeting basic needs and milestones.

  • That self-care is selfish or indulgent. You’ve got to put your own oxygen mask on first right?

  • That emotional intelligence is innate – we know it CAN (and should!) be developed.

  • That baby classes are only for entertainment purposes/ or only for developmental purposes!

  • That baby classes are a luxury. They are a wonderful developmental tool for you and your baby together.

You DON’T Have To:

  • Spend countless hours researching parenting techniques.

  • Sacrifice your own well-being for the sake of your child.

  • Feel overwhelmed by the challenges of raising a happy successful child in an uncertain world.

  • Struggle to find activities that benefit both you and your child.

  • Navigate the journey of parenting alone without support.

HAPPY LITTLE THINGS is the missing link to:

  • Enhancing your child's emotional intelligence for their brightest future possible.

  • Prioritising your self-care and development without needing childcare!

  • Strengthening an unbreakable bond between you and your child.

  • Engaging baby and toddler classes focused on the happiness of both you and your child.

  • Activities designed by experts in Psychology, Mindfulness, Education and even midwifery to help develop emotional intelligence.

  • Relaxing self-care elements for parents, including sound baths, gentle stretching and aromatherapy.

  • Tools and strategies to foster a positive parent-child relationship.

  • Beautiful spaces.

  • Opportunities to meet a community of like-minded parents.

  • Discounts on multi-class packages (and that’s when the magic happens!).

HAPPY LITTLE THINGS SONG

Happy Little Things

We all want to give our little one’s the best start, and it’s never too early.

Research has found that Emotional intelligence is just as, if not more important than investing in IQ when it comes to future success.

And raising a happy and successful child isn’t only about IQ and academic achievement. There’s tantrums, transitions to nursery and school, and later down the line social media, bullying, then navigating workplace competition with AI in an uncertain future world.

Ready for the amazing science-backed evidence?

  • Long-Term Success: Emotional intelligence (EQ) is a predictor of long-term success and life outcomes. Children who develop EQ skills early in life are more likely to achieve personal and professional goals, build fulfilling relationships, and lead satisfying lives into adulthood (Salovey et al., 2009; Bradberry & Greaves, 2009).

  • Resilience: Children with high emotional intelligence are more resilient in the face of adversity. Studies show that EQ helps children cope with stress, bounce back from setbacks, and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Academically successful: Research suggests that children with strong emotional intelligence perform better academically. They exhibit higher levels of motivation, engagement, and focus, leading to improved learning outcomes (Brackett & Salovey, 2006; Salovey et al., 2009).

  • Social Relationships: Children with developed emotional intelligence skills have healthier social relationships. They demonstrate empathy, understanding, and effective communication, which fosters positive interactions with peers and adults (Gottman & DeClaire, 1997; Salovey & Mayer, 1990).

  • Bullying Prevention: Emotional intelligence empowers children to navigate social situations effectively, reducing their vulnerability to bullying. By recognizing emotions in themselves and others, children can develop strategies to manage conflicts peacefully (Goleman, 1995; Brackett & Salovey, 2006).

  • Success in the Workplace: EQ is a crucial factor in career success. Research indicates that individuals with higher emotional intelligence are more likely to excel in leadership roles, teamwork, and decision-making, leading to greater professional achievement (Bradberry & Greaves, 2009; Mayer et al., 2008).

  • Adaptability to AI and Automation: As automation and artificial intelligence reshape the job market, emotional intelligence becomes increasingly valuable. Children with strong EQ skills, such as creativity, adaptability, and interpersonal communication, are better equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing work environment (Bradberry & Greaves, 2009; Brackett & Salovey, 2006).

  • Healthy Use of Social Media: Emotional intelligence enables children to navigate social media responsibly and safely. By understanding their emotions and those of others, children can develop empathy and resilience, mitigating the negative impact of cyberbullying and online conflicts (Goleman, 1995; Brackett & Salovey, 2006).

  • Life Satisfaction: Research suggests a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and overall life satisfaction. Children who possess strong EQ skills tend to experience greater happiness, fulfillment, and well-being across various domains of life (Brackett & Salovey, 2006; Lopes et al., 2003).

  • Mental Health: Emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in children's mental health. Studies indicate that EQ is inversely associated with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other psychological disorders, promoting emotional well-being and psychological resilience (Salovey et al., 2009; Brackett & Salovey, 2006).

Emotional Intelligence is more important than ever.

And you can develop it with the help of our baby and toddler classes, where we share fun, enjoyable and easy activities for you and your child to enjoy and take home with you.
